As we approach the end of another trip around the sun, it's the perfect time to take a moment, cozy up with a warm cup of something delightful, and reflect on the past year. 2023 has been a rollercoaster ride, full of twists, turns, and unexpected loops. If you're reading this, chances are you've faced some unique challenges, and I want to take a moment to honor your strength, resilience, and the amazing person you are.
Reflecting on the past year isn't about dwelling on the hardships or ruminating on what could have been. It's about acknowledging what has happened this past year, celebrating your victories (big and small), and recognizing the lessons you've learned along the way.
For those of you who have faced the unique experience of dealing with cancer, you know better than most that life can throw some serious curveballs. But let me tell you something - you're here, right now, reading this, and that speaks volumes about your inner strength.
Now, let's talk about letting go. We all have things that we carry with us, things that might have served a purpose at one point but now weigh us down. It could be old thought patterns, relationships that no longer align with your growth, or even expectations you've placed on yourself.
Imagine you're holding a bunch of balloons. Each balloon represents something you're holding onto. Some of them are filled with love, beautiful memories, and lessons learned. But there might be a few that have started to deflate, sagging a little lower each day.
As we step into the new year, it's time to gently release those deflated balloons. It's not about dismissing or ignoring the past, but about making space for new experiences, new connections, and new growth.
So, take a moment. Close your eyes. Picture those balloons in your hand. Feel the weight of each one. Then, one by one, let them go. Watch them rise into the sky, becoming a part of the universe, freeing up your hands to grasp onto the opportunities and joys that await you.
You, my friend, have the power to shape your narrative, to decide what you want to take with you into the next year. Embrace it.
Here's to a bright, beautiful and empowered 2024!
Sending you all the love and light,
Lisa
