Rage

Anger isn’t just a “stage of grief.”
Sometimes it’s the whole damn ride.
And guess what?
You’re allowed to feel furious.
At the doctors. At your friends. At the unfairness of it all.
Even—especially—at your own body.
When Anger Feels Like Too Much
Nobody talks about how deep the rage can go.
You might be angry that:
• You did everything “right” and still got sick
• Your energy is gone
• Your sex drive vanished
• Your body feels like a stranger
• People keep telling you to “stay positive” when you want to scream
That’s not negativity.
That’s called having a valid emotional response to a garbage situation.
Two Ways to Make Space for Anger Without Letting It Take Over
1. Give It Somewhere to Go
Anger doesn’t go away because you ignore it.
Try moving it through your body:
• Scream into a pillow
• Write a rage letter (and don’t send it)
• Go on a fast walk with loud music
• Slam a cabinet—yes, really
Let it out safely. It’s not “bad energy.” It’s stuck energy.
2. Drop the Shame
You’re not a bad person because you’re mad.
You’re not doing cancer wrong because you’re angry.
You’re human. And this is hard. Anger might be the most honest thing you feel all day.
There’s nothing wrong with you for feeling rage.
What’s happening is hard. Unfair. Exhausting.
And pretending you’re not mad doesn’t make it easier.
So yeah. Let’s talk about it.
Name it. Move it. Let it be part of your process.
Because sometimes the most healing thing you can do…
is let yourself be pissed.
